A Rigorous and in-depth Ranking

DigitalFoodLab is a strategy and analysis consultancy specialising in FoodTech. They assist in exploring innovation ecosystems, defining innovation strategies, and identifying the right partners and targets.

Every year, DigitalFoodLab evaluates over 3,500 active FoodTech start-ups in Europe, selecting the most influential through a rigorous and comprehensive process.

Start-ups that have raised significant funds in the last three years are pre-selected and then ranked based on the following criteria:

- Trend: Is the start-up capitalising on key trends identified by DigitalFoodLab?

- Financing or profitability: Does the start-up have sufficient cash flow to scale to the next level?

- Hype: Can it effectively communicate its service or product to generate interest?

- Exit potential: Can it realistically become a unicorn (leading to an IPO) or be acquired within five years?
